We are Destin, Clark, Gabe and Gino – the beloved animals of our human companion who loves traveling with four legged friends. We share a home with her in the state of Washington and enjoy traveling with her whether it is a short trip to help her with errands or to assist her while she is traveling on business.
As much as we love our home we enjoy new stomping grounds and different blades of grass to sniff, fertilize and water. We never get to leave the fertilizer though. Our human companion has a weird behavior where she picks it up in some type of flimsy thing and then tosses it into these containers.
The containers are usually very interesting however so we never mind since we enjoy the fragrant aromas in and around the containers…always a nice place to let another canine know we were there too! Regardless of whether it is a trip to the store, post office, an overnight, weekend or weekly adventure we love to accompany her. Our human has been traveling with her pets for many years. While she was in her first corporate sales role she often took her dog on business trips with her covering 12 western states.
From what we heard her say he loved it and was very disappointed after the first trip since when they returned home he could not understand why the door didn’t automatically open like it did at the Marriott. He made many hotel staff members smile with his confidence and frisky nature. Like an American Express card she never left home without him.
He loved the car from the first ride he ever made. Unfortunately for her she found out after loading the car for a short weekend trip within the first 35 miles that two of us were not optimized for travel and would need to be primed. Sometimes traveling with pets takes a little effort.
Even though we loved romping around once we arrived at our final destination the travel could be very upsetting to our stomachs.
The sad news is if we had felt better we could have eaten breakfast twice – something we normally would have done if we had been at home. Oh well. With that said though …with the patience, time and preparedness of our human we overcame car sickness and are now jet-setters completely enjoying the many pleasures of travel.
The most important pleasure being that we are with our human.
SO WHO ARE WE?
I am Destin Colt the oldest and best behaved…well best behaved relative to my brothers. My human had been without a dog for several years when she finally decided it was time to love again. My name came about as Destin because she said I was destined to be with her. The minute she saw my picture she knew we were meant to be.
Seeing that I was exuberant and energetic upon our first physical meeting she decided Colt would be a good middle name because I am a pistol. I am a Havanese and could easily win a political office. I am outgoing, friendly and never timid to ask for your votes as most loving and sweetest dog.
My favorite way to be held is in your arms facing you with my head rested on your shoulder. I will watch your back.Vote for me!! And watch for Destin’s Sweetest Deals and for Destin Digs reviews.
The next oldest is Clark Kent. That is him to the right. He was named after Superman …cause when he gets excited he truly flies through the air. Humans can’t help but smile when they watch him play. When he is out and about walking you can actually observe him smiling.
Clark loves the beach and misses his long walks on the California coast sandy shores where we lived for at least six years. He is a Coton de Tulear and true to his breed since Clark is very vocal, happy and eager to please.
He adores me and watches for my guidance when we are in new social situations. I would really have to run a good campaign if he challenged me for sweetest dog but he won’t because he is too sweet. Be sure to check out Clark’s Happy Choices rated acoustically from on 1 to 10 barks.
Now meet Gabe. Gabe is short for Gabriel. You will usually find Gabriel sunning himself in the yard or on the deck when we are outdoors. He’s a Havanese like me yet Golden in color like the sun as we observe it through our atmosphere. The sun is actually white like Clark and me in outer space. We are extremely different as he is more reserved and wary of strangers.
Once Gabe gets to know you though he will be more than happy to snuggle up next to you and keep you warm. While Archangel Gabriel is considered the messenger of God, our Gabriel is a messenger too and is the first to warn our human that he has seen or heard something.
The rest of us don’t need to know what it is we just join in with our own special bark because it is fun! Gabe really prances about more than romps about and could easily be a doggie runway model.
Check out Gabe’s Garish Garb for pet safety when you browse our Rompster Bonetique. And when we have special events or important announcements Gabriel will be the one to share the message.
Thanks Destin I will take it from here!
I’m Gino and Gabe’s biological brother. We have our parents in common and we both exhibited car sickness when we were younger yet we are not two same peas in any pod.
Our human calls me Gino Bambino since I am the baby of the family. I am black with a little gray here and there. Whereas Gabe is shy I am outgoing, outrageous and extremely lovable.
One word to describe me you ask? Adorable! Play is what I am all about and you will usually find me with a toy in my mouth. Intelligent? I think I could challenge Bill Gates to an IQ test.
You may find I reek and smell funky when you meet me because I am SPOILED rotten by everyone. But did I say LOVABLE? Small packages can fool you – I am personality plus in less than 10 lbs. Check out my articles in the Gino Gabs area.
So thanks for getting to know us. Our intention with the help of our person (who has done most of the work) is to provide you with information about traveling with pets, animals in general, some fun stuff to brighten your day, products and services to prepare you for amazing fun and safe adventures romping about.
